  • Overview

    Responsible for ensuring effective communication between the General Manager and the hotel staff, customers, and vendors, and assisting in the operation of the General Manager’s office in accordance with hotel policy.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    1. Report to work when scheduled, on time, in proper and clean uniform, including name tag. Personal appearance and grooming must conform with standard.
    2. Handle all duties according to NewcrestImage and hotel policies and procedures.
    3. Reproduce documents with a photocopier/scanner.
    4. Send and receive documents via email and fax machine.
    5. Process and audit Brand Gift Certificate reimbursements.
    6. Maintain rebate log/daily entries in business intelligence system.
    7. Handle questions from guests regarding their accounts and adjust folios as needed.
    8. Handle daily/monthly tax exempt reporting.
    9. Receive coded invoices from Department Heads and ensure coding accuracy.
    10. Input all A/P batches in business intelligence system for weekly processing.
    11. Manage all group billing.
    12. Post A/R checks for payment of accounts.
    13. Build and maintain direct bill files after corporate approval is obtained by General Manager.
    14. Post all event folios, including advance deposits.
    15. Maintain and submit petty cash with General Manager’s approval.
    16. Enter daily deposit information into business intelligence system daily.
    17. Make change for all departments as needed.
    18. Count safes weekly with General Manager or Assistant General Manager.
    19. Apply principles of rational thinking to solve problems.
    20. Interpret and comply with a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
    21. Maintain safety and cleanliness of the work area.
    22. Exhibit a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow employees.

    Qualifications

    1. High School Diploma or equivalent
