    NewcrestImage is a premier company in the hospitality space that designs, builds and operates state-of-the-art hotels for the most renowned brands in the industry.  We are a trendsetting company that is acutely focused on culture and that strives to “genuinely care for people so their lives are enriched.”  We are currently looking for an industry leading Architect to lead our future growth of hotel concepts.

    Responsibilities

    In terms of key responsibilities, first and foremost and just like every other position within our company, this role will advance NewcrestImage’s core values of People come First, Communication is Knowledge, Giving is Fun, Experiences are Memorable and Response-Ability is Ours.  While this position will be strategic, the ideal candidate must be able and willing to be “hands-on.”  In addition, some of the key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

     

    Additionally and in coordination with the Development and Construction teams and brand experts, this dynamic individual will lead the architecture workstreams from initiation, through construction and opening.  This role will manage external design teams, continually evaluate workloads, ensure project timelines are on track and within budget, and ensure all specifications are met.  This position will oversee exciting projects such as re-adaptations of historic buildings into hotels, ground-up projects and renovations.  The constant goal will be to anticipate guest desires, conceptualize new concepts, and design trendsetting hotels that support operational requirements, exceed brand standards and provide a unique and exceptional guest experience.

    Qualifications

    While not an exhaustive list, a few of the qualifications are as follows:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program
    • Licensed Architect
    • Experience with AutoCAD, 3D modeling, etc.
    • LEED accreditation desired
    • Exceptional project management skills and extremely savvy with relevant technologies
    • Deep understanding of all phases of design and construction process
    • Understanding of legal requirements related to building, plumbing, electrical, fire, health codes, etc.
    • Experience supervising on-site progress and inspecting work during construction
    • Ability to partner with interior design teams to ensure all interior elements are addressed
    • Experience in the hospitality space
    • Strong business acumen, exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to make good decisions in a timely manner and based upon a mixture of analysis, experience and judgment
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a consultative instinct
    • Results-oriented with a proven track record of delivering
